Congrats! The HRRR had that band in your area and it appears it is correct. I'm back down to only an occasional flurry - I think that's about all I'm going to see today, currently 24.8!

TBF, as @Ross said a couple of days back, everyone in the Atlanta area needed to keep an open mind regarding snow. We were always on the fringe of this system so a bust was always a very real possibility. Unfortunately, the roulette ball landed on the wrong color this time around. It is what it is.

Yeah, these rates are insane right now. It’s all powder, too. Just used my leaf blower to create a path on the deck to the yard for my dog.

Overperformed here very well. Almost all models showed nothing to an inch or so. Close to 3” this morning (pic was an hour ago) and still light snow. Enjoy everyone!

Starting to pick up in intensity again. Probably have 1.5”. Looks like the Triad had over 2 inches in all spots. If future radar, hrrr, and Rap are to believed, my area is supposed to have steady or heavy returns from now til midnight. Hard to believe.
No it was definitely ripping snowflakes in midtown/downtown, not flurries lol.

By the way, leaf blower works great for clearing the deck and steps for the dogs. Just make sure to keep up with it every inch or so.

How is the snow under some of those lighter returns over Charlotte? Almost looks like a hole developing so I am curious about that.

If you look closely there is a spin in the 850 mb winds in northwestern South Carolina. That is where it is.

Can confirm, just stopped snowing here in CAE. Hopefully starts back up but radar isn't looking great.
Probably have to travel up i-26 or i-77 for the real fun

Of all the reports I’ve seen, the craziest may be the accumulating snow in Troy, Alabama! That renegade band has surely surprised a lot of people!

Radar falls apart as soon as it hits Lake Murray. Radar looks good then bam poof. Hopefully that isn’t the deal all day or this will be a nothing burger.
Absolutely ripping right now, noticeable uptick in the wind as well. Hard to believe it is going to stay this way for the majority of the day but I'll take it!

Seems like the band is back building near me only been light snow/ flurries. The heavier snow has built in only around 20 miles to the north
