It's a near white out right now where I am.

Definitely high ratio stuff in these heavy bands... I've never seen such perfect dendrites pouring down.

The snow growth zone is so low that it’s overperforming in low radar returns from some people further west and south.
What are you expecting the rest of the day to look like in wake co?

15/11 with 85% humidity and a wind chill of -2. Moderate Sn. Accu-Weather says snow here fr the next 17 hours. I think most of the real snow will be over here by 8:00 pm tonight

If you are using RadarScope switch to Precipitation Depiction mode. Shows higher frequency
Seems to be having trouble making it past lake Murray
I was expecting more by this time as well but snow fall starting to pick back up in West Columbia near I26
Well shoot. I thought I saw them saying less than 1/4 mile visibility. It's been a good few years since they issued one.

Light dusting in Troy. We had a pretty decent snow shower about 20 minutes ago. Troy PD reports that some of the bridges in the area have started to ice over.
dang near white out conditions right now, about as close to a blizzard as you can get without being in one. Pic doesn’t do it justice

Eyeballing about an inch an a half here in Gibsonville. All gaps in my concrete melt from last week are gone. Pretty powder and snowing moderately. Supposedly until midnight or so.

Just a dusting in midtown...the wind is so strong down here its blowing everywhere. We are getting some of the heaviest rates of the event rn though... we'll see where it leads. It looks like we got streamers forming across the west metro and over the city that are going to train. Bring it on baby.
