Wintry Machine Learning Mauler 1/30-2/1

Main first batch is getting close to here already. Temp dropped from 42 an hour ago to 37 now. Had some sprinkles earlier. SAV 10 miles to my NW reporting snow and 35!

Looks like it has the coastal saving the day. Will it happen? I don't know, but I doubt Raleigh gets blanked, either. I wouldn't expect 6-8", though.
 
Started snowing here 500 am roughly. Been puking heavy snow since 10am non stop and snowing harder now than all day. Big flakes, whole works. Shoveled driveway, drifts at knee caps between cars. Got to end and i swear another half inch had already covered tracks. We are over 6+ now easily. Prettiest snow i can recall. Pure powder, snow globe with wind. Visibility under a 1/4 mile currently.

When is the snow shield over me going to be deactivated?
 
Someone explain to me like I’m a 5 year old why there’s a big swatch thru the middle of NC with No precipitation and it’s getting worse not better? Without saying dry slot lol
 
Been a long while since I posted, been lurking in the shadows. But this is absolutely amazing! It's ripping snow right now. Modeling was spot on with having metro Charlotte as a jackpot area. And we still got another solid couple of hours before it begins to taper down. One that will be remembered forever. Enjoy!

To be fair, the HRRR is swinging wildly all over the place, too, and yet people post it a lot during the storm. According to it last night, I should be blanked but it's been pouring snow here for two hours. ⛄
