AFD from Memphis this afternoon seems to think the storm late in the week will produce wintry due to the storm tomorrow into Monday laying the ground work to keep the temps down. Will be interesting to watch as we close in.
I think an extension of this one would be great. Just my opinion. From Memphisdo we need another thread?) View attachment 74636
Yea icon has trended southeast with the low allowing more cold air to come in.View attachment 74634View attachment 74635 Icon has plenty of precipitation and below freezing temps in Bham area.
Their obviously going with the outlier nam because gfs and euro were more east with the snowMemphis

Hey, don't forget us in Alabama. We've been without a long, long timeSo happy for you guys in La, Miss, and Tn.you deserve this after few lean years. Now if we could get our Ga and SC folks some snow next year it would be great!
I agreeIt's very tricky and confusing. One place is saying 5 to 8 inches of snow for here, and another is saying a half inch of ice with maybe two inches of snow.
Got a legend for the colors?Unreal

Agree the GFS had a high of 45 in Bham today, actual was 38. I’m in north Jefferson and had 36. May not have any effect on Monday but confirms models aren’t handling the shallow arctic air well. One thing id like to say is. That temperatures have been a decent chunk colder here in birmingham than I thought they were supposed to be. Maybe it's my imagination idk?. But its sitting at 34 degrees in northeast birmingham were I'm at.
My high in North Marshall County was 33 but was forecasted to be 40. The fog and low clouds was so thick coming back from Huntsville that you couldn't see with a temp of 30. This was about an hour ago. Temps have busted badly the last 2 days. Lots of trees with ice in them on Brindlee Mtn but Marshall County not included in the watch ?Agree the GFS had a high of 45 in Bham today, actual was 38. I’m in north Jefferson and had 36. Do you think Jefferson county will be included in watch area if things keep trending as they are? That HRRR
