Probably at least a advisory. I think the Mets are playing catch-up with the days model trends.Do you think Jefferson county will be included in watch area if things keep trending as they are?

I know it’s highly unlikely but what would have to take place for the ice to reach the metro ATL area. TIA
The low would need to stay south and not cut thru Georgia.I know it’s highly unlikely but what would have to take place for the ice to reach the metro ATL area. TIA
Yeap low rides gulf into panhandle will extend the layer of colder air to the east and put a world of hurt on AL... Not likely unless models make big moves on the low getting lower and more eastward before cuttingThe low would need to stay south and not cut thru Georgia.

I think the NWS is tooPossibly it’s gonna be close . I’m still fearful of a warmer NW track

Isn't this just a blend of models? It's pitiful that some are paid good money at the NWS to come up with this garbage...those temps for Huntsville,Birmingham, etc..will be off by 20 degrees or more on Tuesday....View attachment 74654
I think the NWS is too
No, tell me what model shows that anyway. This is the description: Forecast data is produced manually by expert meteorologists at the National Weather Service.Isn't this just a blend of models?
I agree, maybe this expert is from a CAD area. Sorry, couldn't help it CAD guys. No, tell me what model shows that anyway. This is the description: Forecast data is produced manually by expert meteorologists at the National Weather Service.
I noticed there are only 3 states not under a snow/winter weather or cold watch or advisory (not counting NE states that are forecast to get snow in a couple of days). Those 3 states are GA, SC, FL. Getting totally left out of a nationwide winter storm/cold outbreak is a pretty sour pill.Got a legend for the colors?
honestly that looks way conservative to me. Only a 40-50% chance of 4"+ ? I would think it would be closer to 80%Man this looks good here lolView attachment 74661View attachment 74662
