Do you think Jefferson county will be included in watch area if things keep trending as they are?

Probably at least a advisory. I think the Mets are playing catch-up with the days model trends.

Just have to hope the models are REALLY underestimating the push of the arctic airmass. They've been adjusting quite a bit recently, but I don't think the freezing line will get to the Atlanta area(and if it does, probably just far western parts of it).

Yeap low rides gulf into panhandle will extend the layer of colder air to the east and put a world of hurt on AL... Not likely unless models make big moves on the low getting lower and more eastward before cutting

It's pitiful that some are paid good money at the NWS to come up with this garbage...those temps for Huntsville,Birmingham, etc..will be off by 20 degrees or more on Tuesday....

Got a legend for the colors?

I noticed there are only 3 states not under a snow/winter weather or cold watch or advisory (not counting NE states that are forecast to get snow in a couple of days). Those 3 states are GA, SC, FL. Getting totally left out of a nationwide winter storm/cold outbreak is a pretty sour pill.
