GFS continues to look nasty.
Nasty is a crippling ice storm lol, GFS looks less destructive

I think the models are all locked in on ice for the mid south. West of the mountains right now east of the mountains I would say rain for most ice for a few NE NC Virginia etc. but to me the most uncertainty is east of the mountains with how the models have flip flopped

Making a call for areas east of the apps is not ideal, anything is on the table from thunderstorms to a sleet storm

New GFS still major winter storm.
The v16 still has a winter storm, i Mean anything is possible

Time will tell if the models back of on the SER. The GFS has been rather consistent at modeling it. We may look back on this and have to revise our criticisms.

This makes much more sense synoptically. As the cold air wedges down east of Apps the surface low should transfer to the coast.

No where to be found as of now. Like no where! SER is very loud!
