Finally building some decent instability behind the morning crud.
Outflow coming NW from the beach convection and another outflow moving NE from the storms south of Charlotte. Wouldn't be shocked to see the CLT to FAY corridor start bubbling over the next 90 minutes.

Good god, I really hope Apple retires their $hitty built-in weather app. It's such a sorry excuse for Apple to continue to use this misguided and automatic app. *End of rant.* But looks like things are beginning to pop now!

Man, the strati form rain won’t stop
Good! That's all I can get 9 out of 10 times so I need a couple hrs of it to get what most get in 15 minutes! While it's boring its great for the grass!
Guess I’ll have to settle for stratiform rain altho I’ve seen anvil crawlers in the distance in it so I’m all in for it

It's the best rain. Thunderstorm downpour just rushes off and doesn't soak in. Slow and steady!

Well we were due for one of these here southern Union County... we we’re pretty dry last weekend when Concord was taking. Already closing in an inch in gauge and the radar looks good

I got ~.15" yesterday and that's been about it for the last two weeks. Summer gives you the haves and the have nots.

Finally. Heaviest rain I’ve seen since mid June
It's amazing sat here and watched the initial storm go up overhead and move into wake now the whole county is full while I walk away with .03

That area is part of the county sweet spot . Roleseville / Riley Hill/ Bunn are the epicenter , then Nashville / Rocky mount area. Essentially anything along 96 zebulon north and 98 wake forest to rocky spring hope / Nashville . We live in the good spot can’t even deny it .

I am usually in a good spot for snow. But I can't get any good storms at my house anymore. It's been that way for a few years now.
