It was yesterday too. I think it is taking itself a little vacation.Boy the HaarRR is meh on convection today
@Dewpoint Dan looking a whole lot like this recentlyI think a thread should be started for this significant heat wave.
That sucks balls . I can’t do nothing about it , though it gives me hope for the winter that it changes . Been stuck in the same old pattern for months now , they don’t usually last that long so I’m faithful with a good strong Nina I get a nice winter at least . Can’t do much when it’s raining all day and 64 but shiver and watch all the cars on the highway wreck , making it impossible to get anywhere .Yeah no matter what model you look at next week should be a nice treat as far as highs with most modeling having us 85 or less for the majority of the week. Subtle differences in the wave in the NE and how the trough loads to our west make the difference between rainy/high dews like the Euro or wedged/lower dews like the GFS.
We might see the Bermuda ridge try to nose in by 8/10 but being on the far western edge of the bermuda ridge in mid August is likely to only give us upper 80s
It never snows, cold rain, and days being shorter sucks I hate getting out of work/having busy days and it’s basically already dark when I’m finished
Just a page ago you were throwing out 60s and hearting messages about colder weather and snow . Make up your mind fro !!!!It never snows, cold rain, and days being shorter sucks I hate getting out of work/having busy days and it’s basically already dark when I’m finished
I’m just a messenger for what the models show, and plus I like snow, but it doesn’t snow anymoreJust a page ago you were throwing out 60s and hearting messages about colder weather and snow . Make up your mind fro !!!!

I like the 70 degree days in winter it hits differentWhat I like about winter
- sunny crisp days in the 50s mostly , great superb stargazing weather at night !
- that’s about it
- well I suppose I enjoy swimming in the river when it’s 34 degrees , i find that to be invigorating .
I do like the warm days , I especially like the days when the west Atlantic ridge pokes in and it’s a humid cloudy 70s with a chance of storms ahead of a cold front .I like the 70 degree days in winter it hits different
Euro says Nino, cfs says solid Nina. Good timesThat sucks balls . I can’t do nothing about it , though it gives me hope for the winter that it changes . Niño seems unlikely tho, the waters of Niño 3.4 region have cooled a lot from my understanding . Seriously though what’s up with the euro ! I guess Niño 3.4 was very warm last month .Euro says Nino, cfs says solid Nina. Good times

Yeah not sure what the Euro is up to but I dont remember the site anymore that had the sub surface cross section of ocean temps in the enso region so who knows if there is warm water below the sfc that the euro is up wellingNiño seems unlikely tho, the waters of Niño 3.4 region have cooled a lot from my understanding . Didn't rain for me, and it's foggy this morning. Off to a great start.
I'm grumpy. Maybe me and @RainlessSnowless & Grumpy need to swap names now.
Or quote more lines from #jumanji movie. Looking for the missing pieceAnd neither are your random off the wall ramblings. Feel free to skip over me next time like I do you.
I’m one of the few who absolutely enjoys it . Makes for intense downpours and storms to the lucky ones who get them. Also very great for plant growth , and it truly feels like summer !IMO late afternoon yesterday was the most uncomfortable day of the year so far in central NC. Just awful.View attachment 87211
