No power last gust I had was 45
Dang, that sucks. I used to be able to sit on my porch and see lightning, but my neighbor has a 10 million candle power garage door light shining into my house.

Probably going to have to hope Elsa comes up for much rain here. Really bad timing with the band for most of NC and SC. The mountains over to the Triad should do well, but not so much for many of the rest of us.

No lie. I shot out my neighbors power pole light with a pellet gun while they were on vacation. they still have no idea. Been dark for two years. Lol.

Except for a dry slot forming in the northern half of Forsyth county, which happens to be where I live. That dry slot is showing in an area that's 4"-6" below normal for the last 90 days. And with my luck, it'll get in that minimum.
This did not age well.... and i'll take the 'L'

I got 4.2" between 10pm and 8am... I'll show myself out now.

Raining pretty good here but we will see how long it lasts. Pretty much kills any chances of storms later today with this mid morning garbage.
It's raining here but the sky is getting brighter. If we can get into any sun and have any level of instability we should cash in with the front

I'd watch that lone storm near Charlotte too and see if that starts to grow. Hrrr hints at that area as itmoves east. There might be a weak mesoscale feature there

I love when Allan is in the same page as us heat haters here View attachment 86049

Good! Hopefully, we can increase our daily storm chances too if the western ridge stays put. But I also feel bad for the west. They are going to have a nasty fire season this year. In fact, I'd wager it being the worst one in history. And that is saying a lot.

.75 at the house today and .12 yesterday. That'll work.

Gonna get worse year after year until there's nothing left to burn.
