I had a good storm Friday evening. Lots if thunder, lightning, and rain. Now today with all the hype about storms I'll probabmy end up not getting anything.
 
Meh, I think we still get some action into tonight/tomorrow. It's only 2 and clouds are thinning out a bit. No reason why we can't recover and get some increased CAPE this afternoon into the evening.
 
I don't know if there will be enough sun around here for storms today. Maybe some rain, but we usually need some sun to light the match to get storms.
 
Not going to happen today in upstate SC or much of NC. Now we'll see what happens to keep all of us dry tomorrow and Tuesday.
 
Getting dark here with lots of rumbling thunder and then I just saw this:

* AT 309 PM EDT, A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED OVER HUNTER ARMY
AIRFIELD, MOVING NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH.

HAZARD...60 MPH WIND GUSTS AND QUARTER SIZE HAIL.

SOURCE...RADAR INDICATED.

IMPACT...MINOR HAIL DAMAGE TO VEHICLES IS POSSIBLE. EXPECT WIND
DAMAGE TO TREES AND POWERLINES.

Outflow boundary set up later across MBY tonight and probably will be the setting stage for things in the future .. more coverage = more chances

KATL was 84/73, so the number of 90 degree days remains at 7.
 
Something tells me radar is about to pop off here in the evening .. two outflow boundaries converging over an untapped area.. you can already seeing storms developing as they converge closer together

Yeah. I can go inside when it's hot out and feel just fine. But when Apex is getting snow and I'm getting 33 and rain, there's nowhere I can go to feel better.

Not mentioned you can start to see the front begin to come in slowly as well
 
Is there any chance with all this rain stalling around the gulf coast area that we can see something brew up in the tropical department?
 
Just got a special weather statement for a strong thunderstorm coming my way. We'll see.
