Is this a west trend?
When in doubt, zoom out. If we can keep moving this direction we can have a storm that really digs and bombs at the perfect time. I think to get the good ones, the really good ones, you have to walk this lineIs this a west trend?
Surface will come through when Jesus comes back but we are certainly going to have something different for the first storm coming up. Will definitely be better for folks further North.

UGH. I had to look at that last panel. It's yesterdays.
Splitting the difference between this and Memphis mauler on the gfs would be great.
last time I seen this, Atlanta got 2.1 inches of snow and the city shut down from 1p that Tuesday and Wednesday morning... Hey! just saying!Order the pizza. View attachment 182247

A part of me hope it verifies, then moves in a way that would give the western/central Carolinas good snowSecond Jan in a row for Gulf coast snow?

The sort of thing that shows you there is still much to figure out and quite a lot on the table. Even the AIFS is not consistent yet. Nobody wants to wait and see if later jan/feb can produce, so hopefully we can move this one in the right direction. You certainly have to like the potential around MLK more than late next week

I agree! Atleast it gives me some hope in south central Alabama. I always prefer to see the bulk of snow total south of my location because it always seems to trend northwest closer to the event.Second storm has big potential.
So basically gfs is alone with the cold push for the second storm? That’s very encouraging.ukmet was also going to be eye popping…. We need an icon/ukmet/euro solution for the 2nd storm.

I’ll take it! Gets me a tenth of an inch here in North Augusta, SC - more than we’ll get otherwise, Mitch West
