Pattern January 2021 - Joyless January

You gotta be kidding me. Just as it looked like a big one was coming on the euro, it gets suppressed to the south. Right as the precip is about to hit.
 
This does have CAD written all over it. The ? is, will it be ice or snow (or both)? Those west of the Apps are going to have to wait, and for a while too.
 
Before we leave our depressed state of mind, thanks to the 12z Euro. Reminder we have crossed the halfway point of Met Winter. 6 weeks left. Im actually very pleased so far,because I really expected wall to wall torch.

Major ice storm with back end snow..... GREAT ... honest interesting cause the euro and its ensembles have been fairly consistent in this type of pattern and even showing consistent wintry potential signals in the snow plots ... we’ve always knows we have a chance at a CAD in the upcoming pattern and usually the pattern before changing drastically leaves with a bang
