Need some good news. Way too quiet in here for January 14th.

Big cold HIGH diving in as a storm is approaching ... something tells me CAD is coming for someone .. depends on how strong and how much high pressure can push against the low
Well if we are going to trend away from warm let's trend to an ice storm. Can we save this time stamp and check again this weekend? Should fun to see which way the models are going

Not far synoptically from a CAD setup, given the on roids SE Canada vortex, Gotta give credit to the ENS they honked that big 50/50 low for a while

00Z GFS has multiple days with highs struggling to reach 32-36 IMBY after hr 282.....but no wet to go with it so wasted cold.....

That Canadian late run storm is just a monster. It's not been terrible at sniffing out storms this year. GFS way different and the GFSV16 doesn't have a storm at all.
Loving that late run high pressure feed the 00z GFS was showing. Sign me up.
For some reason I’m absolutely fine with what I’m seeing on an operational euro run

Insane GFS run. I’m telling you each individual run is so meaningless. We can’t even get trends.

I was saying it before and I’ll say it now the models giveth what they taketh! I’m starting to see the pattern breaking down in the models and CAD is still just screaming at me
