Atlanta Public Schools are about to cancel school for tomorrow fwiw
I’m also in NW GA, Under a WWA and am firmly in the @Nerman camp here. I think we get cold enough after the moisture is goneNot sure where you have been but a good chunk of north GA is under a WWA for ice.
A little exaggerated but certainly not a clown map. Those are the areas that will end up with the biggest snow totals and won’t get above 20 for highs tomorrow… then will clear skies and calm winds tomorrow night so lows between 0 to -8 or so is definitely possible. Keep in mind this is the same airmass that’s been out in the Plains the last couple daysThat is a clown map, If I have even seen one.
It’s nice to see someone on this side of the mountains doing so wellHave around 4in in the ground currently just outside Blowing Rock. Still snowing pretty good.

The WWA starts at 4am. Doubt they would issue it if there was no risk at all.I’m also in NW GA, Under a WWA and am firmly in the @Nerman camp here. I think we get cold enough after the moisture is gone
Per NWS the WWA starts at 4am so it will be below freezing long enough for slick roads. I'm doubting any major icing though. The 5pm update did add Cobb, Fulton and a few other counties in the metro. Not supposed to get below freezing until about 6am though.
Your most dangerous time to travel on ice is a glaze because you can’t see the ice on the hywPer NWS the WWA starts at 4am so it will be below freezing long enough for slick roads. I'm doubting any major icing though.
Yep black ice is horrible. We will have that risk but not a big power outage issue here unless precip over performs for some reason.Your most dangerous time to travel on ice is a glaze because you can’t see the ice on the hyw
Awesome! Parts of NVA have 2 inches on the ground now. Heaviest of the day so far.
