Wonder what its like at Black Mnt. Old Fort being in the valley should hang on to the cold air a while.

Final call on this one. Nothing really changed for the piedmont and mountains for me. The closer you are to the escarpment the more ice and snow. Likely big totals on the eastern facing slopes. Think a general 0.1 to 0.2" near the triad with more than 0.25" northwest of there. Upstate is still the biggest ? to me as I am waiting to see how the DPs and temps continue to look as most places are well into the 30's now with dews in the mid 20's still. could be all rain, could be a trace of onset ice, or more cold air at the surface could happen and larger totals. All of those have an equal chance of happening right now.

Now that the band moved through and knocked temps down a bit and with the NE wind flipping around in here at a pretty decent 5-8 mph, I want to see if DPs and temps continue to drop further while in this break.
Why can’t we have more front end snow events often ? These suckers always do well

Most likely what I had on my map
Down to 36 here. Not sure what the dew point is but the airport is at 18.
