Not necessarily. Gulf convection is a big thorn in our side a lot of times and that’s exactly what the HRRR showed.

NAM has the Low hugging the gulf coast while the HRRR has it in the GOM heading towards Tampa/Naples
I'm guessing that is what the 3K is going to show as well.

Convection inhibition due to a QLCS with a roughly 1000 mb low would be a low probability solution especially with moderate temps.

Central GA will like this run
Not necessarily seen plenty of times were they have significant differences. The truth is wasnt really suppressed look just lighter on moisture feed low track was similar as previous runs.

Hi-res 00z GFS is moist.

The 3K only has snow in the mountains. Not much precipitation in the ATL area. It appears FV3 is similar. NAM is on an island so this is probably not really a possibility. Fun to watch, though!

I absolutely love these types of systems. Not much expected if anything but has the potential for a nice bust on the good side! Rabun and Hiawasse will be a nice spot a got a feeling. Maybe up above the fish hatchery too...lol

The difference is the short wave is flatter on the 00Z run. The difference showed up earlier in the run with a little less ridging in the NW.
For the Atlanta area, the best outcome would be something in between. A little less precip, but less WAA could be the way to thread the needle with this novelty system.

0z Euro does have precip further north but it doesn’t amount to much snow except for a coating in the mountains
