We had about 1.5" of IP/ZR last night. Heavy band of ZR just rolled through, very light drizzle now. 27.7 and falling (down from 28.2 at 9:30).

very interesting that this niche atmospheric process is so prominent. webb with that explainer he made a year ago was like a shovel salesman at a gold rushJust got back from a walk. Lighter returns yield a super fine snow while the heavier returns have a painful sleet. About a half inch or so of white stuff accumulated on the sidewalks I would say.
Was just about to post I’m at -3 to -4 925’s and it’s basically all ZR now. Oddly enough and idk what’s going on, my weather app, car thermometer, and outdoor thermometer are all reading 16-17 degrees. Means I some how dropped 4-5 degrees in an hour? Not sure what’s going on thereIt is -2C at 925, +9C at 850, and +2C at 700
We have finally begun to mix in ZR more prominently here

All sleet here stillThis one's gonna depend on who gets the most ZR over the next few hours before the big line gets here for the Upstate. Northwestern Upstate favored of course
