We had about 1.5" of IP/ZR last night. Heavy band of ZR just rolled through, very light drizzle now. 27.7 and falling (down from 28.2 at 9:30).

Keep going through heavy and light sleet showers here, roads fully covered, probably over half inch of sleet
Temp has risen to 30 here, wondering why and if we will stay below freezing for the next round?

And... the power is back on. That could have been worse! The wind causes a really weird crinkling sound due to the ice in the trees.
One of the concerns that seems to be occurring here is accretion under light or no returns. Really adding up in the past hour with the light mist thats outside under no radar returns.

30 degrees, some mist around in Goose Creek. 31 KCHS. FOG. Light glaze on elevated surfaces. May have had some sleet overnight too, see the tale tell bumps on some cars that got a light coating
Just got back from a walk. Lighter returns yield a super fine snow while the heavier returns have a painful sleet. About a half inch or so of white stuff accumulated on the sidewalks I would say.

Had a bit of a lull now heavy sleet again
took care of our little side street and a few neighbors' driveways who were on steep hills
Me and old blue just went for a frosty ride. 100% sleet warmed up to 15.4

Got a couple inches of snow and sleet. Been sleeting at a steady rate this morning. A light glaze underneath it all from the bit of freezing rain early on. So far so good.

We are having that right now just pixie dust flakes everywhere mixed with a few sleet pellets. So insanely cool

14° and sleeting and snowing dust. I’d say approx between 1 and 2” on the ground. No glaze in the trees from what I can tell.
very interesting that this niche atmospheric process is so prominent. webb with that explainer he made a year ago was like a shovel salesman at a gold rush

Welp. I was giving the NAM and GFS trash at the beginning. But they performed very well with maintaining sleet over freezing rain! Props to those models. And props to the weather next model on amount of QPF

Was just about to post I’m at -3 to -4 925’s and it’s basically all ZR now. Oddly enough and idk what’s going on, my weather app, car thermometer, and outdoor thermometer are all reading 16-17 degrees. Means I some how dropped 4-5 degrees in an hour? Not sure what’s going on there

I guess I made the right call yesterday after all to lower the ZR totals for most in nc and jack up the sleet.

Wow, heavy sleet again. There's a good 2 inches on the ground after I took a ride and evaluated the situation. Nice storm as long as we can keep the freezing rain at bay.
Still holding at 29 degrees with the occasional freezing rain shower passing by.

Waves of heavy zr here. Just enough time to freeze before the next one hits. We’re at 1/8th inch accrual now with noticeable tree sag. I’m concerned

28.5 and ZR showers ongoing. Odds of MBY remaining subfreezing through much if not all of the squall line due here around 2PM seems to be increasing. 
This one's gonna depend on who gets the most ZR over the next few hours before the big line gets here for the Upstate. Northwestern Upstate favored of course

31.2 and freezing drizzle. We might have gotten up to 0.2” of ZR. I expect the line coming through in a couple hours to cause outages

Currently 23/21 in Taylors, SC with some mist. I measured 1 inch of sleet/pixie dust a few minutes ago.
HRRR showing some pretty hefty hourly rates with the main line by ZR standards
