Pattern Jan 2025 Powered by Rheem AC

The worst of the cold was avoided thanks to wind and cloud. Not seeing super widespread single digits in eastern nc , looks like a good pocket north of wilmy down to north of Myrtle then scattered elsewhere in the 7-9 range . RDU 16, Roxboro 10, Henderson 9.

Hatteras 31 all night , 18 Wilmington , 11 Rocky Mount Wilson, 15 new Bern , 10 Goldsboro , 14 Clinton

PGV currently -7.7 for the month on temps....nothing above normal really on models. Where can one find a list of coldest months on record and see where we are tracking against all time coldest Jan etc?

Should get some 60s to end the month, but that’s about it. Definitely in top 10, probably top 5. Coldest is 77 though we are well warmer than that

This location is in a interesting micro climate that allows it to reach some ridiculous temps versus the surrounding area at times. They have been well below zero on several occasions.

Looks like (6z GFS) Tuesday and Wednesday of next week will be the warm days. As you said, lots of upper 50s and low 60s for highs. Then the last two days of the year don't get out of the 30s for highs. Of course, this is day 6&7 on a model....

The NOWdata is a good source. Looks like PGV is currently tracking at 7th coldest on record so far.

This must be what it’s like to go to school in Boone. Mid 30s with snow on the ground but we have class still. It’s weird

Oh so far we've only closed here for the 6 inches. When it was snowing 2 Thursday's ago school was open and the dusting and 3 degrees Tuesday same and some of the side roads Tuesday were slippery too

In Georgia if there's 1 little patch of ice on the road they will close schools.

Oh they closed in Alabama and it didn't even really snow 🤣 just a spotty dusting that I saw where my parents were

We had school buses running here with very slippery parking lots and neighborhood streets Tuesday

The snow 2 weeks ago yeah the roads were wet at least during school hours
