Same here. Think its monster flakes surving the warmnose on heavy rates. The tv radars have had us in white the whole morning,but its been sleet city going on 4 hours here soon. Been a long time since ive seen sleet that heavy

Charge up now. Don’t let weak radar returns fool you. Freezing drizzle matters as does high wind.

Wow, very different there compared to Durham. Much more white here, no ZR yet! It’s just pingermaggedon!
On another more, looks like Nashville is busting low on snow? Unfortunate!

Despite ripping fatties, roads still not snow-covered in Gresham area.
Snow is picking up again, it’s the heaviest I’ve seen so far.
Yeah it just got a lot darker outside and is starting to pick up again, but the flakes are still on the smaller side. You're about 15 miles southwest of me, so hopefully more to come.

If there is ZR in CLT, we're getting to the point where it's warm enough to where it can't accrue very efficiently. Temps getting close to freezing.
Ice really building up .. I think we’re fine still but I guess we got another hour or so maybe if this?
Some photos from last hour. I think we’ve got about 1” of sleet here with maybe a little snow underneath, though I didn’t measure so I’m not really sure.

Sleetfest continues here ten miles north of Greensboro. Everything should wrap up here around 6:00 PM EST. Currently 20.3/18.1. RAH’s point forecast calls for freezing rain, but I’ve been all sleet thankfully.
I brought my elderly parents from their house to ours in case they lost power. My back might not be able to hold out much longer getting him up out of his chair.

Above freezing BL + peak sun angle near noon is going to make that tough without sustained heavy rates.

All cold rain here in northeast bham, bummed out a bit, hopefully Fridays event will do better.
The wind has been blowing all of the snow from the roof onto my patio, and is creating big snow mounds. I measured 2 inches in the grass.
