The 12z NAM had that as well but further west. Definitely further east this run.

We’re in the gulf instead of central Alabama like 18z
This thing should start firing pretty good in the next frame of so.
It's still the same wave orientation. There's just a meso-low that forms over ALT.

Wow. NAM stays snow for quite a while north of 85 in NC. I do not buy that at all though

I still like that… single digit dewpoints on the NC/VA border and teen down into much of the Piedmont… as precip starts and wind turn out of the NE that air is still get get tapped into
