No denying that for sure!Jim Cantore just said parts of Atlanta could see hurricane gusts. And that it’s about to speed up. So we will see. Atl is still in the thick of it.
Exactly!!!This will likely be worse than Irma for Atlanta, yet it received half of the hype lol

Am I seeing things or is Zeta firing more hot towers near its core????
It's showing gust close to 60 mph all the way across the state, I'm assuming this convective line is the catalyst to get those winds to the surfaceDon’t like seeing that Convective tail on the hrrr, that’s just another way to bring strong winds down View attachment 51298
That's way right of previous runsDon’t like seeing that Convective tail on the hrrr, that’s just another way to bring strong winds down View attachment 51298
Yeah I was wondering if it was, haven't looked at the models too closely today but was thinking it had more rain east than previous runs... thanks for the confirmation. That's way right of previous runs
Every one of these you have shared today, the center has been just right of trackI mean this is impressiveView attachment 51299
Which would put me in the bullseye later on. Great.Every one of these you have shared today, the center has been just right of track
Another thing to consider is zeta appears to be tracking a bit east of NAM and HRRR.. also HRRR highlights that axis of maximum winds closer to KATL..I think Jim is right for places like Newnan, Douglasville, Lithia Springs, Marietta, Kennesaw, and Canton, where I could see some of them possibly getting close to 75 mph! Downtown ATL may see 65 or so and Hartsfield 60 or so...these are my latest guesses fwiw. History, folks, is on the way that may not be repeated for several decades!
Edit: I'm increasing Hartsfield max gusts to potentially 65 mph because the station is elevated well above the ground I think. I wasn't thinking about that before.
Center will be like literally 10 miles west of me. Which puts me on the worse side of thingsI mean this is impressiveView attachment 51299

At the rate we're going it'll be worse than Irma. I expect to have no power tomorrow morning. It’s gonna get rough here dude
Same. Not working tomorrow helps. I’m staying up to enjoy the show and I’ll sleep while powers out lol.At the rate we're going it'll be worse than Irma. I expect to have no power tomorrow morning.
Peak seems to be around 6 am is what I'm seeing. The west metro will feel it starting at probably 4 am or so.So what time should it hit Atlanta? 4-5am?
