If that happens the central alabama say birmingham southward and points east and poss west of there will be hurting when it barrels thruIt’s seriously trying to make a run at cat 3
Coweta Ga says it’s waiting to make the call at 5am.
Very possibleLow end cat 3??
Even 110 is powerful and just 5 mph shy from major. Wind gust would be very well above cat 3 statusI'm not sure if it has enough time to become a Category 3. I think it would be at 110 mph upon landfall.
I live in Coweta and right now the highest winds should come through between 3 and 5. We may be without power when they are scheduled to make the call. We are on EMC and often lose power in just moderate thunderstorms. And then again winds may not be that bad.I actually think that's reasonable.
I see pink
Bigger impacts of this strengthening is that we have an organizing storm versus a decaying one. This should really increase the winds inland as it blasts through.
We can toss the notion that northern GOM storms will weaken on approach. 2020 has blown that theory to pieces.
