of the system may lead to isolated instances of flash flooding
between southern Louisiana and much of the Texas coastline this
evening. As Nicholas draws closer to southern Texas on Monday,
additional round of heavy rain and increasing winds are forecast
across the lower and middle Texas Coast. By Tuesday, impacts are
expected to expand into the upper Texas Coast and southwest
Louisiana. Upwards of 20 inches of rain is possible across parts
of the Texas coastline through the middle of the week, with
widespread amounts between southern Texas and southwest Louisiana
around 5 to 10 inches. Rainfall amounts of this magnitude will
likely lead to areas of flash flooding, with considerable flash
flood events possible. To highlight the concern, a Moderate Risk
(level 3/4) of excessive rainfall has been issued for Monday and
Tuesday between the lower Texas Coast and southwest Louisiana.

A Hurricane Watch has been issued for the coast of Texas from Port
Aransas to Sargent.

We have to watch the rapid intensification on this thing… looks like it could ramp up quick and we might be able to thank the close proximity to the coast for that .. I think the friction helps crank it a bit quicker than usual

Probably. Pretty cool to see the internal struggle to establish a LLC via radar that we are typically trying to figure out via satellite or recon
I’d be damn near surprised if that end up being the new core further north east of the old one… this thing is bouncing around like I’ve never seen … we saw a massive blow up of thunderstorms last night and that has certainly given a massive breath of fresh air to Nicholas 
It's as though the LLC is still embedded within a larger circulation and is moving in a cyclonic loop while at the same time SW shear keeps taking a toll. It's a mess.
