We should only hope for the dry slot. 1.5" is plenty. Plus the winds (even from a minimal storm) will cause widespread tree down-age where the heaver qpf amounts occur. Currently I see this storm as a low risk for a widespread event, but could/will cause issues for a select few near the path.If Raleigh dry slots like that I’m driving east to Goldsboro. Heck I’m probably driving around in this thing regardless.
Man. That would jump to #2 right behind Fran
Almost certainly overdone but even 2/3rds of that would cause damageMan. That would jump to #2 right behind Fran
Yeah a period of 35-45 gusts during full leaf out is going to cause some issues especially in places that have seen significant rain over the last 14 days.Almost certainly overdone but even 2/3rds of that would cause damage
Just looked back and it has been fairly consistent with the track over the last few runs even off of the SC coast.12Z 3k NAM was almost identical to its 06Z run as far as track is concerned.
Then I got nothing to worry about wind wise, heck trees already shedding leaves...Yeah a period of 35-45 gusts during full leaf out is going to cause some issues especially in places that have seen significant rain over the last 14 days.
Wind maps are always inflated on the NAM and Euro , it seems in the past??
Is it just for this one county in your area,? Trying to keep my sister in Apex up to date. They just looking like a lot of rain , as of now?Let's go!!

Just your usual 80+mph gusts
That would turn out the lights for half the state.
