So, I downloaded the weather channel app on the Google Chromecast that has the apps built in. It prompted me out to a site to log in with service provider of which I have none because I cut the cord to YouTube TV BUT, I have Spectrum internet. I thought I was doomed, but logged in with my Spectrum login and BOOM have been live streaming the weather channel for over 5 hrs now with no issues.
I don't know why, but not questioning it.

Interestingly enough, until Ida gets closer to the NOLA area she’s going to be over a mix of narrow patches of land and warm swamp water which may allow her to maintain strength for a longer period of time.

Back over water and eye wall structure has improved…moving WNW…NOLA looks like it will avoid the worst of it….to the west.

FYI Fryndly TV offers the Weather channel amongst like 10 other channels for only 5.99 a month. They offer a trial period, just input your information and cancel the subscription before it bills you.

Well per WLWTV, Entergy now reporting 152K without power in Metro N. O. Water/Sewar Board reporting "most" of pumps are now down due to loss of power..

I do not have cable TV either, just internet through spectrum which is why I was surprised it worked.

It did continue w/nw and basically still over water, at least the inner eye wall west of Grand Isle now and not training over it, doesn't matter really that place is probably destroyed.
