It appear NO will miss the inner eyewall and possibly the outer eyewall. Still big flooding threat as storm slows and heavy rain will last for awhile.

Possibly, the inner eyewall still looks relatively stable and the outer looks less. The south sides might even look like they merged which isn't good because that's just stepping away from what would've been an ERC.

Yep, exactly what happened. The same pretty much happened with Michael as well. I actually think the outer ring is keeping the inner eyewall protected from dry air to the west.

Im no storm chaser but taking wind measurement on the pavement seems to be a great way to break a jaw or hip. Just my common sense opinion.

Shame on the Weather Channel for basically running a commercial break every 3-4 minutes during a life threatening event. I’m sure they’ll make a pretty penny.
CDO cooling again and eye becoming more symmetrical. Definitely not loosing any strength yet.

As much of a part of me would love to experience it one time, it ain’t happening.
It looks to me like Ida is determined to complete its ERC regardless of "landfall". The outer concentric ring is clearly contracting on recent radar imagery.
