Having a hard time not seeing her intensifying up until landfall at this point. Central pressure down 7mb in past 3 hours.

Well 1700 ft is not exactly a few, it was a gust the same drop got 92 at the surface which is in line with what recon is finding overall, surface winds are 90-100 at best still, even FL winds are barely breaking 100 mph....
So I hear recon is headed to base and we won't have another till 3 AM. Your tax dollars at work!

Eye looks like it’s really going to pop out tonight while I sleep … check out the last second bomb of thunderstorms about to erupt on the northeast side of this baby … she boutta be gone 
Actually looking at this and water vapor it looks like this could be our eye … quite big and looks like tonight she will clear out and wrap those tall thunderstorms uniformly around her center … would make sense because the larger area I circled seems to be moving more west north west towards the official track 
ADT now has it near Cat 3.

yeah good job by the models recognizing the potential but they certainly struggled with the origination point

Well Ida still has 12 to 18+ hours over some over the warmest water on Earth so that’s suboptimal.
