It sure does have the look....hope NHC is right that it won't make it to a major.

Newfoundland is in the left half of the cone now, forecast with a quickly passing hurricane, relative to Bermuda, map higher in page.

This is a large storm capable of bringing Bermuda flash flooding due to the combo of it being large, it expected to be slow moving nearby, and probably high PWATs due to (near) record high nearby SSTs.

From 11PM NHC: check out this expected rainfall, which would likely be one of their heaviest in history:

RAINFALL: Ernesto is expected to produce total rain accumulations
of 6 to 12 inches on Bermuda with isolated maximum amounts up to 15
inches. This rainfall may result in considerable life-threatening
flash flooding.
