NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK

Areas affected...Eastern AL...Western GA

Concerning...Tornado Watch 498...

Valid 102054Z - 102230Z

The severe weather threat for Tornado Watch 498 continues.

SUMMARY...The threat for brief tornadoes will continue into the
early evening as convection spreads slowly eastward.

DISCUSSION...At 2045Z, a band of convection continues across eastern
AL into western GA. Weak rotation has occasionally been noted with
the stronger discrete cells. While instability remains weak across
the region (MLCAPE generally less than 500 J/kg), 0-1 km SRH of
200-400 m2/s2 will support a brief tornado threat with the stronger
convective elements, especially with any discrete elements in closer
proximity to the effective warm frontal zone, where low-level flow
remains backed. Some threat may spread slightly east of the watch
with time, as additional development occurs ahead of the main
convective band. Local watch extension may be needed at some point
depending on the intensity of any new development.

It's crazy that some of the little storms north of Raleigh are showing a little rotation

Yeah the radars aren’t picking up the low level rotation good today per my observation, that motion almost Made me find a safe spot in my place, I’ll send another video if when it appeared over the trees

Yeah, not so sure I like this setup going into tonight. Since we weren't supposed to have the possibility of rotating storms until tomorrow. Nighttime spin ups albeit that they are supposed to be brief, weak spin-ups is somewhat concerning. Might be a long night.
