At least its less humid. At this hour yesterday the dp in Atl was 64 compared to a comfy 60 now.
Sorry to rub salt in the wound but that backdoor cold front has done work here, stiff NE breeze, lower DP's, a little overcast and temp steady at 77. That forecast high of 88 in real jeopardy here today.

Easy to see the HP /backdoor front coming from the NE first, should work down the east side of Apps rest of the day. Gonna be a nice evening outside

A wild, fantasy , pants tent run, would show a widespread 1” of rain for the entire SEIt's happening!!! LOL! Finally we get to see some wild fantasy runs.
Tomorrow will probably be one of those days wher we start out about 70, then fall through the day, ending up around 60-62 at sundown, occasional drizzle dizzle!

Wind has picked up and turned NE/E here, the beginning of the end of this air mass for me.....I can see a cloud deck building to my NE and its 10 degrees cooler under it 35 miles from me.....

Some props to the GFS (or FV3, whatever you want to call it). I think it was the first to lock in on the idea of the CAD/backdoor cold front for this weekend. and it did so honestly I think even earlier than 140-150 hours. Only difference was it was pushed off to Saturday and probably wasn't totally "on" because of a cold bias, but the CAD solution is going to happen.
Maybe another blind squirrel finding a nut, but I'm thankful we're going to have the CAD. These last days of the heat were unbearable.

Today was Atl's 91st day of 90+ which is the most ever. Fortunately it looks like today is the last 90+ day for at least 7 months.
