Im trying to figure out how there will be a 25-30 degree spread in hi/lo temps with rain. Usually it takes a dry airmass to have such a large difference in hi/lo.

12z GFS at least in areas that get it good with CAD is $$$$ and

GFS has locked in on the Saturday CAD. Hopefully that doesn't change.
Euro with seasonal temps, maybe a bit above avg starting Saturday.

Euro is not as organized, but the 12z GFS not FV3, shown what could be a decent severe weather event should the timing be right.
As much as I hate this heat It’s nice to get some convective T-storms going.

I dont like how the GEFS is set on re-establishing the -PNA and pumping the SE ridge again in the long range.
If that does verify it won’t be as bad. It would probably be just low to mid 80’s instead of close to the upper 90’s.

Even *IF* (big *IF*) the 90s end after Friday, it still seems as though above/well above average temps will continue for a large chunk of the region.
Dang, Euro brought the goods. 0z GEFS is miles better in the long range too. Whew be still my beating heart.
