These are the dog days of Fall. And why can't the deploy a model that is warm-biased in the long range? That would solve a lot of problems, not the least of which would be wildly improving accuracy.

Hogtown is a great place to be for like 3 months a year.... unless you hate snow of course !

50" of snow... in September?!

I know it's the northern Rockies and there's absolutely no way any of us would see snow this early in the season, but it's hard not to be extremely jealous from afar.

Good thing about the warmth is, when we start getting winter storms threats, water temps will be warm enough for some rich deep lows to form off the gulf coast and create some high ratios with snow

GFS back to a nice cool look next weekend with some nice cold fronts coming down afterwards. Just need to suffer through next week and we should have a really nice first weekend in October.

Euro really seems out to lunch. Maybe GFS is overplaying the cold but Euro missing it altogether at least through D10

Op Euro can diverge quite a bit form it's ensemble mean past day 6. Here is GSP temps.
