Misc General Banter Thread

Do NOT go N out of the City towards University OR West towards Airport. Don’t carry cash, don’t even look at the Light-rail or you’re already in Danger. I’ve lived in the CLT Metro 33yrs now …. It’s a Cesspool be careful

MOST IMPORTANT—- if you get hungry at 11P - 2A, YES there is a cookout on Freedom Drive, NO you absolutely shouldn’t go there

You fail to mention that everything south of Uptown is some of the most gorgeous and upscale neighborhoods in the entire South

Of course, but that’s not walking distance or somewhere someone staying in Uptown may be like “Ohhh man a Bojangels is 2.3 miles from here let’s go grab it. But it’s actually on N Tryon / Sugar Creek with bars on the windows

Bojangles on the corner of S Tryon and West Boulevard in South End has been good before Panthers games. AI takes your order and food is ready pretty quick. Pretty sure that was the OG Bojangles.

So this is what I'm replying with to text from clients for Loganville, Ga. (family and friends, lol)

I'd say 10% chance of just some flurries. 20% chance of less than an inch. 40% chance of 2 inches. 20% chance of 2-4 inches, and if we get super lucky and a deformation band sets up shop overhead, 10% 5+ inches.

I’m way far from NC but my high was supposed to be 26 today and I’m sitting at 33.1. Kinda hard to get high ratio snow above freezing. It’s snowing but again we were not supposed to be anywhere near the freezing mark today and yet we are above it.

Models are pulling back a bit for our areas. Could just be the typical oscillations we've been seeing or could be the start of a last minute negative trends. Funny how the models are doing this after the expansion of the Winter Storm Warning lol.

I don’t see any temps in your area close to 33.IMG_4133.jpeg

After reviewing my proprietary in-house guidance, I have prepared my FINAL CALL MAP.
RDU can BUST due to its distance from the Low Pressure, or it could benefit from both and BOOM.5-12 inches.jpg

We're at 32 at 1pm with a forecast high of 36, so seems pretty in line with expectations. Not sure we'll even make it to 36.

Final Call. Watch hwy 49 corridor and northern, central coastal plain for exceeding expectations.
Said it 2 days ago. Snow hill has its town name for a reason. See Downeast talking about as well. Thats my pick for the max lollipop. Enjoy, long overdue

Yeah, I saw that. I hope it's not a last-minute rug pull on precip like last week. Totally different setup, but still.

Brad about to be Raleigh public enemy #1, just said the dryslot looks to set up over them and would reduce totals.
I think it's going to be close. I could see it just to the west of us but it's going to come down to watching the radar. You'll be able to tell fairly early.

I'm still holding out hope the tilt works in our favor and we don't have to deal with a big dry slot. Even though that hope is slowly dwindling. LOL

Thank you. Helpful. I’m from the ATL and love guns. I’ll be ok.

Staying near Romare Bearden park and the panthers stadium.
