Cmc mega suppressed and gfs way east. I’m good with this for now
GFS hates GA...LOL but obviously a MUCH better run.. I think the GFS for GA thing is bogus btw.....

Round 2 tries to get cranking out west, but gets suppressed as it moves east.
This. It would never actually happen that way. It basically has the cold air stop making its way east because the low then develops off the gulf shifting the winds from the northeast, thus the low level cold intrusion all the way down to Beaufort, SC.

The GFS has 13 degrees for me on Saturday Morning with +SN.

You don't really want to get rid of the SER in this scenario. It's the thing actually supplying the warm moist air into the colder air mass. Without it it would be mostly cold and dry.
