just drove on I-85 from Greenville to Spartanburg (and back) - temps varied 2-3 degrees (from 34-37), all snow with temps < 35, heavy snow rates just east of Greenville

My car thermometer that runs way too warm says 36, so I'm guessing it's 32-33 here. Ripping huge flakes. This will really pile up if it continues after dark.

More than a dusting here, probably pushing one inch already. Be patient it's coming,it's not even dripping off the roof now.

this is a fascinating system
I live just north of I-85 (south of DT G'ville) - crazy weather this afternoon - sleet to snow to rain/snow - now mod snow and rates increasing, 35.4

Looks to me based on the short range models and WPC discussion that we could get in on a death band. Could easily hit 3-6" with that.
