Wintry February 19-21, 2020 Winter Storm

Live cam in Asheville. Looks like light snow there.

 
I guess it's coming even faster than thought. The CAD is breaking the 925 down to freezing as we speak across N GA, so that layer is almost done. 850s crashing almost vertically it appears in N GA.

It dropped from 41 to 38 over the past hour and a half here in ATL. Dewpoint has seen a similar drop from 38 to 35.

EDIT: Those NE winds are no joke, been gradually getting stiffer all morning.

HRRR keeps showing this little feature. Think my hopes are riding on it? My kid in Hampton area might get blasted though. Good luck to you guys in NE NC and such!

Actually, this has been showing up off and on in various models for several days (I think the UK had it two days ago). If you look closely, you can it on today's RGEM, and it actually adds ~.10 qpf to GSO. The HRRR is a little west of that.
