45-50 DBZ storms headed towards the Kentucky/Tennessee line. Really would like to get under one of those tonight and see what happens. Hope we get more of the same as it rolls through our region tonight.

Color me impressed, didn’t see any graupel but the temp dropped to 42 underneath the heaviest precip. already back up to 50 outside the shower. The airmass just above the surface to lowest km or so is really cold

here is the video! By far the most intense snow band I’ve ever seen. Pretty much a complete white out. It blew in just like a squall line would.
Simply amazing. Not sure on rates but was probably 2 pushing 3 inch an hour. We hit an inch very very very fast.

Man that looks awesome! Even saw the transformer on the pole flash there in the middle of the video. Cool to see it literally accumulate in that parking lot right before your eyes.
Convection we had really reminded me summer is around the corner

There’s a inch of snow/grupel in Maggie Valley it’s beautiful hopefully see a little more over night

Posted up at Woody Gap near Suches, GA again today. Elevation 3160’
35 at the top with some large snowflakes and some perfectly round looking grauple grains/balls. Almost no accumulation this time but still pretty.
