Mercy that looks convective af ?

I don't think I've ever seen purple shades down this far south. 8-10 mm/hr in liquid-snow equivalent or about 3-4 inches of snow per hour(assuming 10:1, probably more like 8:1) . Might be fun to be in NE GA this weekend.

Chattanooga/Red Bank, driving home on highway 27, foot of Signal... it was a freak one and done.. didn't accumulate.

Clippers always shock the system especially when they are powerful enough to be seen by models down here in the south ... that being said the NAM 3km looked absolutely tasty and it’s only just now seeing the clipper move by... I have a feeling we are not done talking about this thing one bit ... someones going to have fun with this thing

Interesting that the HRRR is depicting much more widespread precip on On Friday and it looks convective and it screams dusting to 1inch totals whoever gets under them
