Wintry Feb. 19-20

Most of SC missed this one. It's going to a March 1993 like system for most of this state to score big again, especially for Columbia north and west.
It seems like these wrap around set ups normally always wrap around & hit the same areas that scored off the main system.

These are great examples of it.

Picking up again here, I feel bad for posting it honestly. Upstate Guys got robbed. Go Look at JB Twitter or the Fab Feb thread some similar setups yall may enjoy being mentioned
Too late in the year by then. Everything has to perfect for areas outside of the mountains. March 1993 type systems are a once in a lifetime event and that's what it'll take for SC.

Still getting some dandruff, but not really sticking to anything except elevated surfaces and a slight dusting on grass and mulch. Roads are completely fine.
Yep same here just to your east. Dusted.

Looks like north and east winning again on this deal.

Nice to hear ya'll west of here getting some flakes. Hate to hear upstate didn't get in on the action as much.

Snow picking up here. Anything falling today is a bonus. I can count how many times I've ever seen snow falling on snow in these parts on one hand.

Despite the snow coming down at a pretty good rate, it's still melting off my driveway and sidewalk where I shoveled yesterday. Thank you late February sun...
This is why I am a sun angle enthusiast. We had a decent bit of melting on the roads overnight even. Wish more of the snow fell in the overnight hours so we’d have had more on the roads in the first place. Not sure why I care about road stickage, I guess it’s just a nostalgic holdover from my school days, hah.

I notice stuff like that too. As a kid, spent a lot of time observing what surfaces stick to first. Cars/grills first, then elevated decks, shady spots on ground, then all ground, then shady sidewalks and street, etc. 🤣

A friend in Simpsonville got jack potted and sent me a pic of a solid 1/2 inch in her yard just now. The SC stuff is producing if you're in the right spot.
5 forks. They were driving by my house on the way to fountain inn this morning covered with snow. It’s like 2-3 miles as the crow flies from me

It has been snowing for the last fifteen mintues in McCullers just south of Raleigh and the temperature is 27 degrees. The snow is light but has picked up a little in intensity. After being shut out for the two previous winters this year has been a welcome break from the drudgery of having winters with no snowfall to enjoy.

For the mountain folk, what can I expect on the drive from Greenville up to Avery Co between 12:00 and 3:00?

Looks like Buckethead has over 6” on the board on the state line up above Mars Hill so maybe my 5-8 call wasn’t as atrocious as I thought it would be along the border

@BIG FROSTY ?
