Interesting map vs. sounding here at onset. map shows ice but sounding? There is a couple hours like this then a couple where is barely crosses the line so I continue with my weenie hopes.

Not expecting much in Jasper, GA. A few returns just to the west, but not sure anything hitting ground ... no mPING reports anyway. Advisory to the west of us calling for up to an inch of sleet and advisory to the east is calling for a little freezing rain. Current temp is 44 & dewpoint 28. Hoping to score perhaps a little sleet, but will be tough with the warm nose. Good luck to all ... stay safe and warm.

Not sure how long you guys in NW Bama can keep it as snow, but man, there's a fire hose aimed right at ya looking at radar and satellite.

My temp has risen almost 2 degrees in the past 20 minutes with the arrival of clouds.
