I got suspended a week at American for saying it is dead there and I am at another board with a lot more traffic. But I doubt the 10 people that post there now will notice.
Thanks for the kind words. We believe it's our privilege to have everyone here since it's your choice to be here.Brick,
Ouch, now that's a cut lol. But I bet that most, if not all, of the 10 people there are also here at least as readers and some, like yourself, post at both. It isn't like we're totally separate groups.
I think the key is that the staff here treats members as so much more valuable as opposed to how members (some of whom are the same folks as I said) are treated there overall. Over there, the staff treats members as being privileged to post there. In that regard, there's something about the atmosphere there that is not exactly inviting like it is here. I still say that a lot of that has bled over from the nasty political forum there.
I think what happened is that the overall board got too big for its britches.
I would have never provided my materials to a Wiki "over there" ... for what little bit that is worth ...Brick,

It seems very cliquish. I don't sense much, if any, cliquishness here at least yet. I still say that a lot of that has bled over from the nasty political forum there. Possibly related to this, I think the overall board got too big for its britches.

Shhhh ... not ever looking for thanks (just enjoy sharing with folks who don't have an agenda) ... plus FS is the brains ...Your work on the wiki here (along with Forsyth’s) should never be minimized. The time and effort spent on it is commendable and selfless.
It's coming, and when it does, you'll have a string of them ... then none ... then some more ... been there, done that, and doing it again ...How many more years am I going to have to wait until we have a September that is actually semi-fall like?
@GeorgiaGirl Max Fried with 7 innings of 1 hit ball tonight ?
It would be funny if the Bears only give up the 7 points to the Packers the whole game only to lose 7-3. #modifiedmonopolyReally surprised how the Bears offense is struggling.
1-3” tomorrow, WSW going into effect soonhead was confused again
FWIW, we had a blowtorch September in 2010, and remember how the follow up winter turned out?
Lol yep. What happens this month in terms of weather doesn't impact us for winter. I'd look more toward November and see how our ENSO and other influences are doing plus the weather that month than September. The closer we get, the more impact the setups and driving patterns have on our season.I counter your mention of 2010 with September 2018 and the following winter.![]()
Lots of people actually live down there... well let me define lots lol. Prob 15-20k residents on the OBXDoes anyone actually live on the Outer Banks or is it mainly just vacation homes?
From my understanding Norfolk is only 60-90 minutes from the northern half of OBX so many people live there and commute back and forthDoes anyone actually live on the Outer Banks or is it mainly just vacation homes?

We'll probably get BN temperatures in November and March just so we can get cold rain with AN from December-February.
C'mon people now, smile ... it'll get cold ... when it's supposed to ... hell, it's still summer until the 20th ...
It's all sun angle ... LOL ...Of October. Your right thought, it will get cold for 1-2 weeks in March.

Had a dove shoot in Ochlochnee, GA in the early 1980's over Labor Day (can't remember the year) - 1st phase ... we were wearing long shirts and turned on the gas heaters that night ... never know ...It seems like, before 2016 or so, we often had several days with lows in the 50s by the end of September at RDU. We sometimes even had mornings with lows in the upper 40s. We would also occasionally get cooler rainy days with highs in the 60s. But the past three Septembers have all been just a slightly cooler version of August - highs in the upper 80s-90 with lows in the upper 60s-70.
