Bulleit Rye and hot model runs. Might even mix a little Top Golf in there. Going to be a great night
At least it's bourbon weather I'll be drinking some EH Taylor Single Barrel tonight, Been saving the really fancy bottles for if we ever get a decent snow.... needless to say my collection has grown quite a bit.

I don’t remember seeing 2 years so similar like last year and this year. It’s like groundhogs day. MJO going tell us everything in a few weeks.

MJO is just one of many things that will provide a clue or clues ... best thing to do is watch and independently blend model trends, and also pay real close attention to what the winds are doing over a couple weeks period and you'll have a great eye on things ...

among others:

https://earth.nullschool.net/#current/wind/surface/level/orthographic=-74.21,21.02,1907

and watch WV loops ...

That’s too fancy, remember I went to Georgia.

I went to weather school on the back page of the Jax newspaper, watching George Winterling on local news Channel 4, and based on what I could read and absorb after real life school ... so I profess to know nothing ... except ... models are just models; there are things that link if you look long enough; weather is not a predictable commodity; weather is fun; and weather thoughts are truly fun sharing here as opposed to ... well, I'll not name that other place ...

I went to ND by the way; then to UF for 2 grad degrees just in order to re-learn southern ...

That’s a pretty damn good resume!

And just like last year the models are showing a deep npac low starting 2nd week of Dec. Of course thing became unhinged after.

A month from now if we've punted the 1st half of January still relying on a fantasy pattern change I'm throwing in the towel. February has been about as much of a disappointment as December lately.

If pipes aren't bursting in January, I'm throwing my crystal ball and Magic 8 Ball away ...

Anything short of 87 redux will be disappointing.

Looks like the ATL had a good winter.

At least it’s cold in Seattle? We should get to test the Seattle Snow Advancement theory early on this winter. Can’t wait94C63E20-DCCC-4B31-9FA0-74AD551A72E4.png

Fixin to roll 10 1/2 hr drive to metro St Louis. NWS/KSTL discussion: Tue - possible severe. Wed - sunny gusts 40mph. Thu - AM rain/snow mix. On a side note, NO Bojangles :(. However - White Castle! Copious amounts of White Castle!! :)

ABSOLUTELY REMARKABLE !!! I know y’all could care less about the Midwest. I’m 15 miles S.E. of STL (vacay) and the Tornado Sirens are MUCH MUCH louder than I remember. (Radar indicated). I’m a Hugh weather weenie like y’all. Please forgive me. 27 yrs in the south I forgot how loud these Tornado sirens are in the Midwest.
40-60 MPH Gusts expected tomorrow. Perfect time for a vacation huh.?...... Again, forgive me. I’m just excited. :D

there's an invest in the EPAC for the cyclone near the Oregon/California coast(which apparently set a record low pressure in California)

lol
