They could just just posted a graphic with the cold anoms over AK. That tells me all I need to know

Spent four hours getting up leaves in my yard yesterday. Probably not the last time I'll have to do it before the end of the month, either. It would be great if leaves just disintegrated as soon as they hit the ground.

I sucked up all the leaves Saturday, now look today.

I'm going with a total of at least 12 inches of snow in my yard this winter. One big storm and a couple of smaller ones. All you Debbie Downers need the power of positivity.
Im going with negative 0.00 inches of snow and 12 to 18 inches of rain for us alabama folks... Honestly I'll bring my power of positivity up too 100 percent from 5 percent once i see some true snowflakes fall and accumulate

How have the fall colors been so far in the ATL area and has it peaked yet?

For my area it’s probably at peak or close to it. Colors have been awful this year, lots of brown. The late heatwave and drought killed everything again.

Thanks for the report. Back in the day, the average ATL area leaf color peak was during the first few days of Nov. Not any more! Now it is mid-Novish.

Fire up the thread! Bird man and BRad, all over it! If it was a snow chance, Brad, wouldn’t talk about it until the day after the ground was buried under 6”

What are we wanting to start a thread about again? I think I missed it.
The apocalyptic pre Thanksgiving rain!! Oooooh, spoooky! We all know it verifies as drizzle! I think it’s the pattern changer, to the torch- fest December !! No Diggiity

I’m having a rare itch rash to change the name of this thread and it won’t let me???! Spreading like fire. I’m on ? HELLO

I don’t know about this no nut November because the nuts are falling everywhere around this tree and it always happens in November.

Yeah, well, I’m abstaining this NNN, albeit not of my own free will. Wife had hip surgery October 28, so extracurricular activities are suspended until January at the earliest.

I always like to revisit this wonderful event for Raleigh. Keeps things in perspective that maybe a warm winter isn’t so bad. If I have to experience this or Dec 2000 again...

Worst... winter... event... ever.

I'm still so triggered by this episode almost three years later. Only got 1" of snow while it snowed 12" just 30 miles away. Thankfully, though, I got to experience northern winters next two winters after this fiasco and I made my peace with the infamous "Wake snow gradient".

We had blue radar returns all night long here in Southern Gville but in actuality all we got was backend snow showers that next morning with barely enough to cover the pine needles. Laurens county was forecast for 6” and never saw a flake ?. This was a bad one, but not nearly as bad as the one from 2014? 2015? Please someone refresh my memory on that bust

7th grade..one of my all timers. This storm added a week to our Christmas vacation. I remember Ice caked several inches thick on the main roads. Nearly decapitated my younger brother while doing donuts on the EZ-Go. Good times

That's one of my favorites too. We had a solid 4". I followed this storm for days. I remember being so excited on New Year's Eve in anticipation of the storm.
