We had blue radar returns all night long here in Southern Gville but in actuality all we got was backend snow showers that next morning with barely enough to cover the pine needles. Laurens county was forecast for 6” and never saw a flake ?. This was a bad one, but not nearly as bad as the one from 2014? 2015? Please someone refresh my memory on that bust
Pretty sure it was Feb of 14. We had back to back snows, we had about 2-3” of paste, the bigger news was the next days event, was going to give us 20+ according to the Euro, with plenty of cold! It started snowing and sleeting at 27 degrees and the flakes just got less and less, I knew we were in dire straits, and it was! Sleet and ZR all day, maybe an inch total and backend band with a 1/4” of snow! I new I shouldn’t bought a yard stick! ?

I kinda like this look. Yeah, it's 384, but I don't care. I'd be ok with some evolution in this direction.

-EPO cold/suppressive lobe in central Canada, not bad but it’s the 384 hour gfs
ULL forming over AK Bay may intensify into something. But then again it's 384 hrs out.

But if it had showed a torch, some folks would take it as gospel at 384 hours out.

7th grade..one of my all timers. This storm added a week to our Christmas vacation. I remember Ice caked several inches thick on the main roads. Nearly decapitated my younger brother while doing donuts on the EZ-Go. Good times

This storm is the first one I can recall in my neck of the woods, ended up w/ 8" of snow & sleet, made for amazing sledding down huge dirt mounds that were next to our neighborhood. This storm is higher in my book because the 2001-02 winter completely screwed over the NE US urban corridor. Few things bring joy to my heart like getting a big dog & then watching the mid-atlantic & NE US snow weenies capitulate after getting absolutely nothing

Just as many people take 384 cold patterns as gospel. Let's try not to start talking in abstracts about "some people". Because "some people" are going to reply back, and then we're going to have "some issues" again today. Let's try to get through at least one week without a bunch of mess. PLEASE.

The nerve of some people! (Sorry) ???

Would be crazy if 8-12” was forecast on Christmas Day and we wake up to a cold rain everywhere it wouldn’t be forgot in history ever

Would be crazy if we had 5 70 degree days in CLT in December, wait, that’s happened a lot in the past decade

Wouldn’t it be crazy if we reached 90 degrees at GSP on December 18th then exactly a week later we got a big snowstorm. That’s usually when we get our best snows

heading to austria first week in dec and hoping to see snow. been trying to watch the models in the europe region on tropical tidbits.

Wouldn’t it be crazy if, the Thanksgiving nuclear rain apocalypse, was just the appetizer to the Christmas fogamageddon? Oh the humanity! Kind of like the coconut shrimp/bloomin onion , to the porterhouse?????
