I only like Summer for the Summertime storms, although the first part of spring around March/April is severely underrated, especially if you get a trough over the East.

Per Maxar, the Euro ens is predicting a +AAM for the first time since mid November starting 12/25 and lasting at least a week. Since June, Maxar said there has been no more than a day or two of neutral to slightly +AAM. Whereas the Euro may have a +AAM bias, that’s not clear and the Euro hadn’t predicted a +AAM the last 2 months. Also, GEFS projects it rising to neutral 12/25 and it has had a -AAM bias. So, the combo of these 2 models is strongly suggesting there will actually be at least a week of +AAM the last week of December for the first time since June.

A +AAM has some correlation with an El Niño pattern of AN temps N US and BN temps/storminess S US, which is what most here want. So, keep hope alive for a nonwarm January and maybe even a BN January. There’s no reason for sudden extra high negativity today vs previous days, which were showing similar warmth the last 10 days of Dec into the first couple of Jan.

I see today was a very sunshiney day on here. /sarcasm

I haven't posted until now (not sure I posted much yesterday either), but I had my own adventure today. Making chocolate truffles for the family next week, with help from a dad that cooks great, but likes to cut corners and doesn't like making messes.

They taste good from what I've tasted, but I made multiple messes, and in the cutting corners area where I decided to melt the chocolate in the microwave instead of over the stove, I ended up melting holes into two plastic bowls, caught a burn on my left foot as some burning particles of the plastic bowl ended up on the floor, and ended up abandoning the idea of dipping them in chocolate after doing a few of them as it was just an annoying task.

Now, after I see that plastic in food can be a little dangerous, I think I might end up forbidding my older cousin's two sons from having the ones that were dipped in chocolate. The ones that aren't dipped are still pretty good.

You know things aren’t looking good in the near future when the discussion thread is talking about an alphabet list of indices rather than actual fantasy storms, though. :)

But, yeah, January is a ways off and could yet still be our Jammin’ January.
