Even the 06z EPS is backing off the cold significantly to our north, this is awesome !
Talk about massive warm adjustments went from low 40s/20 to 50/31, that cold seemingly getting beat back ?
I was promised 80s. Major sweating from a SER of doom. They vanished. Now low humidity warm ish afternoons and cold mornings looks great for everyone!

It's been the trend this year even in January to have these arctic outbreaks in the midrange not verify. Looks like I will not have a single reading in the teens this winter.

And poof! Arctic outbreak is gone and no severe cold on this mornings models through the 10th of March! Daffodils are blooming here now and spring peepers making their noise in the swamps. In North Mississippi, Pear trees will be in full bloom by the 10th with this modeled warmth! Welcome Spring!

Fronts are definitely legit here
There are places in South Texas that hit 90s yesterday
And there were a couple tornado warnings to my south last night

I think there was like a 100 degree difference in temps between the Dakotas and parts of Texas yesterday. I guess that's not terribly uncommon though.

Yeah it's not unheard of that's for sure. Back in 1911 OKC had a 66 degree drop in one day ?
Also there was a tornado an hour before a blizzard in Wisconsin

You have to admit that the US has some really fascinating weather. I can't think of any other country that can compete with our extremes.

We have way more tornadoes than anywhere too
Now if that verifies
The 12Z GFS/GEFS still sucks for cold vs the 0Z and earlier runs. Granted, it is colder than 6Z, but keep in mind that the 6Z was much warmer than the 0Z. The 12Z is a good bit warmer than 0Z and the 0Z was quite a bit warmer than yesterday’s runs.
So, overall not good news for cold lovers:

Wake gradient alive and well even with temps! Rip anyone in southern NC that’s god awful
