Pattern Failbruary Thread

Left statesville hour and a half ago. Was 44 degrees. Got to waxhaw and it’s 72. Crazy
 
At 11 AM, 79 already at KSAV vs 77 24 hours ago. The record high for today is 87, which is the warmest for any day in met. winter back to 1873. Yesterday’s high was 85, the warmest so far this year and one off the record. It was 84 on Wednesday, which tied the daily record.

At 11 AM, KCHS was already 78, which is one warmer than 24 hours ago. Record high is 86.

I’d venture to say by the 2030’s those colder and snowier parts of NC and TN will have winters more like us and we’ll have winters more like [mention]pcbjr [/mention] !

I’m sure you guys will get yours at some point. No doubt it’s warmer these days but I highly doubt it will be that dramatic of a temp swing a decade from now. I’ve actually had much better winters the last 7-8 years then I did from 2006-2014. The first 8 years I lived here I didn’t have one snow storm total 6 inches. I’ve now had 3 snow storms top 8 or more inches since 2016 and two of them are from last year and this year. Although last winter it took 2 storms in 3 days to get 8.5 inches it was still 8.5 inches of snow on the ground at one time.

An entire week of 60s next week and apparently very little wind for a few days(unusual here) that's gonna be amazing. Last few times we hit 70s the south winds were howling
 
Lmao record early closing today of some NC ski resorts. Base wiped out. Done for the season per Wolf Ridge ?
 
Snow breaking out high elev nw NC. Table set for ice, ice cold rain here at the ole homestead latter tonight,tommorow. Never got past low to mid 40s today
