Yeah he might be mistaking deciduous magnolias for dogwoods. Dogwoods are late bloomers.

It’s possible. Small white flowers I’ve typically seen blooming in mid March. I’ll take some pics and you horticulture experts can let me know.

I also don't believe it since his location is close to me and no dogwoods are blooming anywhere near here or south of Atlanta where weatherfide is.
Atlanta must have a lot of interesting microclimates. We have some people there claiming spring trees are blooming while others are claiming to be in the midst of 50 mph winds with temperatures in the mid 30s while no one else within a hundred miles is under 40F.

Haha sounds quite a place. I don't remember it being that interesting before ?
 
Last week of the month is looking interesting with models showing a SSWE and most of the cold air on this side of the Arctic.
