It's unfortunate because that's exactly the time of year when people want cold and snow the most. Snow and cold just isn't as fun in Jan or Feb as it is in Dec.

As long we keep some ridging over Scandinavia and the Barents Sea in the means, the PV will encounter some resistance.

Gfs starts to really back the western ridge west after 200 so here comes the SER. Big ridge in the Urals around the same time. Interested to see of it ends up looking ok toward the end of the run

That huge cutoff around Hawaii is a reason for the shitter as well it retrogrades over time and the associated height pumping in front of it backs up in time as well
